Our American Porter all grain beer recipe kit won a silver medal in both the 2016 and 2017 Pro/Am homebrew competition.  This malty ale has notes of chocolate, coffee, dark cherry and caramel.  We've tested many yeast strains with this recipe and found Wyeast 1275 to be the best.

To brew an all-grain batch of beer, you’ll need some advanced homebrewing equipment. The most popular option today is an all-in-one brewing system, such as the Brewzilla. If you prefer a more traditional setup, you’ll need:

An 8-gallon (or larger) kettle and a heat source capable of boiling 6-7 gallons of wort (typically a propane burner) as well as a mash tun or the necessary equipment for Brew-In-A-Bag (BIAB) brewing.
